Congratulations on Creating Your Blogs!

Everyone in class on Wednesday created a blog and they all look wonderful. Good work everyone!

Now, let's start posting and commenting. The first thing I want you to check is that your blog allows people to comment on what you've written. Look and see if you have any comments. If not, you probably need to change your settings to allow comments. Ask for help if you're not sure how to do this.

Look at the Links section in the sidebar. Do you see the list of names? Click on each one to see your classmates' blogs (and your own blog). Write a comment on at least 2 classmate's blogs.

***************************************************************

You should also see a link to the Rubric for Student Blogs in the sidebar under Links. Click on it to see the rubric. (You will need to remember the enrollment key for Knowplace to see the Rubric).

The rubric shows you how I will evaluate your blog. 5 is the top mark in each area. There are 5 sections, so the highest score you can get is 25. If you don't understand some of the words in the rubric, please let me know and Í'll explain.

Please make sure that you have written some personal (but not too personal!) information in the Profile section. A short paragraph about yourself is all you need.

Your blog is for you to publish your class writing.

  1. Put your composition about "Things I Like Doing" on the blog, including your corrections.
  2. Post your paragraph on "Internet Security" on the blog too, as soon as you get the marked paper copy back.

Of course, you are welcome to do as much writing as you want on your blog!
